Slovenia: Photo Diary

Sunday, 10 September 2017

Oh Slovenia, you stunning little gem of a place! How I'd love to be back there right now, cycling in the sunshine. Slovenia was one of the loveliest, cleanest, most beautiful places I've ever been, so I thought I'd share a few snaps from my time there. It's pretty light on detail as that's all to come in my upcoming Travel Guide.

Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana

We arrived in the afternoon and after settling into our hotel we made our way into the centre of Ljubljana for a wander and some dinner.

Day 2: Cycling around

We hired some bikes and cycled round the city, exploring little bits along the way. There's cycle paths absolutely everywhere and cars are banned from the old town so it was super easy and ever so beautiful.

Day 3: Pool day

After checking the weather and seeing it was set to be 35 degrees we made our way to the local lido for a day of reading, chilling, swimming and sunning ourselves.

Day 4: Mooching around

We looked around the local shops, stopped in the local cafes and just took in the atmosphere of the place.

Day 5: Lake Bled

We took an early coach to Lake Bled and oh my goodness was it everything I'd hoped it would be and more. I'm still not over this fairytale place.

Day 6: Pool day #2

Our last day in Ljubljana, and another hot one so we spent it at the pool then had a lovely (read: messy wine/tequila-fueled) final evening.

Have you ever been to Slovenia? What did you think and what was your favourite part? Let me know in the comments!

Move over Beer, I'm all about Prosecco Pong

Wednesday, 16 August 2017

Guys. Prosecco Pong. I almost just don't know if I need to say any more! LOOK AT IT!

I am a BIG fan of a party game but I really feel like this is the party game I've been waiting for.. the classy alternative to the laddy older brother that is beer pong. Right up my street! It has. Pink. Ping pong. Balls.

I'd spotted this and thought 'now THAT I could get involved with'... Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a classic game of beer pong but who needs beer when you can have prosecco, and who needs red cups when you can have beautiful little saucers!

I mentioned in my last post that I've just moved into a new flat, so when Talking Tables asked if I wanted a set my reaction was 'uh.. HELL YEAH' as it just so happened that I was having a flat warming party that very Friday. So they whizzed a set over to me toot sweet with some surprise party bits to help me dec out my flat to glitzy perfection (they're the best!). It couldn't have got me more excited!

It is the perfect addition to ANY party - uni pre drinks, birthday, night in, night out - and not just for the gals can I just add.. I think the lads were enjoying it more than the girls to be honest.. I think we have them to thank for a recycling box full of prosecco bottles!

It was such a laugh, we had such a mix match of people at our party, so I had worried about the mingly side of things but the prosecco pong really brought everyone together - namely the moment I threw the ball into the cup on my own side... apparently ball sports aren't my thing...

The very moment

Can we just take a moment to appreciate these disco ball cups! It's honestly my new favourite thing. I'm quite a notorious drink spiller, but this little dream pretty much makes it impossible to spill your drink! I mean a) no spillages on the brand new sofas b) no wasted gin!! What is not to love!

After an hour or two Prosecco Pong (and far too many of the ol' proseccos) we moved from the flat into town to carry on the festivities... and the rest gets a bit hazy

The whole night just an utter delight! The next day.. not so much.. we won't talk about that..

What's your favourite party game? Is Prosecco Pong up your street or are you more into the Beer? Let me know in the comments!

*The items mentioned in this post were kindly gifted to me by Talking Tables but all love of Prosecco Pong and other glitzy bits is entirely my own*

Glastonbury Festival: Photo Diary

Saturday, 1 July 2017

This time last week... I was waking up on my deflating blow up bed, covered in glitter, listening to the rain patter down on the tent, munching on a chocolate belvita. Oh to be back there now...

My Minimalist Make Up Bag

If you read my last post you'll know that I want to try and become a lot more minimalist over the next year and beyond.

Today is my birthday! In case you hadn't guessed I am 24 years old... wow... This little old life is starting to go quickly, even this year so far I barely feel I've blinked and we're in May.

Car and Tyre Maintenence Lessons Learned

Monday, 8 May 2017

Having recently moved back to Somerset from London, getting myself a car was top of my to do list! There's no tube round here and the buses are fine but don't give you all that much freedom. I wanted to be able to get up and go wherever and whenever. So I bought myself a little second hand car.
