Stationery Haul

Wednesday, 20 April 2016

Oh I do love a good bit of stationery... now that I've finally given into the fact I'm going to have to start a bullet journal because FOMO, I had to stock up on some things I 'needed' and I might have picked up some other bits along the way...

As I said, I'm planning on now starting a bullet journal because seeing everyone else's beautiful notebooks makes me so envious so I'm just going to go for it.. I'm planning to use it as a life/blog journal and I'm hoping it might make me more organised with scheduling blog posts and what not, so we'll see.

I found this brown ring bound one in Paperchase, I wanted something fairly plain and I love brown crafty looking note books, I also love that it's ring bound because they sit flatter on the table when you're writing in them and you can fold the front back without having a hissy fit that the binding will be creased and ruined.

It's really got everything you'd need! It has lined pages...

and blank pages...

 and squared pages AND...

Plastic wallets/photo slippy in thingys..

I'm so excited to start using it I can't even tell you, but i'm trying to take things slow because I want it to be nice and perfect and I don't want to rush into things and regret them..

So since I had new pages, I needed new pens to write on them because that's just how this works.. I was just going to get one black pen and one other colour, I was thinking green because i'm loving green atm, but I found this little pack of 8 which includes a black and a green, but also blue, light blue, red, purple, pink and orange, I don't plan to use them all within my journal but I figured if i'm going to get two I might as well get 8...

I also got a fine marker pen, because I thought I might like to use it for titles and things, but also because they're always handy to have around cause you never know when you need to write your name on summin.

Also from Paperchase I got some thank you cards, just cause I thought they were quite nice... I love sending little cards to people and you never know when the time will come that you need a thank you card so I always like to keep some hanging around, I loved these as I'm obsessed with stripes, I'm always wearing stripes so I couldn't leave without them really..

I also got these little Dachshund tabs. ARE THEY NOT THE CUTEST THINGS YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!!! I swear they are made for me.. I'm desperate for a real life Dachshund but my boyfriend says we have to get a 'proper dog'.. They'll do for now I suppose but I just love the patterns and the colours and everything about them I want to put them everywhere!

Plus these little bow 'toppers' but they were reduced to 65p!!! I liked them because they're quite flat so I could utilise them in my journal if I want, or on a present, we'll see, I kinda think they're too pretty to go on a present and I want to keep them all for myself.

I've been on the lookout for some decorative tape for AAAAGES I swear everyone has it and is able to find it but I never can.. I spotted this little set in Tiger which I thought would be perfect! I love the colours and simple patterns and it was only £2 so got to really haven't you..

On a whim I bought this Stamp Lettering Set, also from Tiger and I cannot even explain to you how incredibly excited I am about this, I eye it up every time I go and and think oooooh yeah. This time I justified it as for the bullet journal so there. I'm picturing little subtitles and I'm particularly thinking it will be perfect to make a page of twitter chat timings. I just want to use it for everything to be honest..

So that completes my little haul... I love Paperchase and Tiger! I always find amazing little things in there, I'm currently lusting after everything in Kikki K at the moment too but I feel like I need to really think about what I need/want before I got in there or it really could get very out of hand very very quickly.

What are you favourite stationery pieces/shops? Plus if you've got a bullet journal post please leave me links in the comments for inspo!

  1. Oh, I do love reading about a good stationery haul (more so than beauty actually). That notebook sounds really cool, I could do with something like that. I never thought I'd want square paper after maths at school but it's actually quite useful.I also need to check out this bullet journal situation since it seems so popular.
