Holiday Haul: H&M, Topshop, New Look and M&S

I'm off on holiday to Croatia next week, and I couldn't be more excited! My wardrobe contains a distinct lack of summer items so I've had a little bit of a spree and I'm pretty chuffed with what I picked up...

My first port of call was H&M as they always have lovely prints and great basics plus it's pretty cheap so I could get more for my money.

As soon as I walked in the door I spotted this little printed co-ord set and I was in love. I'm quite the fan of a play suit, but shorts with a matching a top? I'm even more of a fan! So many more outfit options!

It's perfect to throw on over a bikini or dress up with a nice jacket and some heeled sandals for an evening. I've already worn the top with some black jeans and a leather jacket and I'm in love! I got lots of compliments too. I just can't wait to wear them together.

I went to H&M with the intention of finding some little black shorts, something just to throw on with any old top. These crochet trimmed shorts were just what I was looking for! They'll just go with everything and make for effortless morning dressing.

I then found this little top, which I thought would look great with the shorts (and pretty much anything.. ) I'm loving crochet and lace at the moment so I love this. I thought they'd make a cute little outfit too.

Then I headed to Marks & Spencer to look for some shoes, which might seem an odd choice but they're actually pretty great at shoes, I got my winter boots from there and they were the comfiest things ever! So when I saw these I was like YAAAS. I just wanted something smart/cas to wear down to dinner in the evening. These tan sandals with a chunky heel were perfect (I have worn them all ready and omg do they hurt! I had blisters on both my big toes which I've never had before - agony. Once I get through it though they'll be worth it. Any tips for wearing in shoes please leave them in the comments!)

The next task was bikinis. I popped into New Look and picked up a pair of plain black bottoms, cause they can mix and match with any old thing. Then I wanted some more jazzy ones.

I loved this black one with a fluorescent and baby pink trim! I like the triangle style as I find them the most flattering but I have to be careful with them as I'm bigger busted but this is a moulded cup in the triangle style so it's much more supportive than your typical triangle style so I was pretty chuffed about that.. Plus it's a tie at the back, because unless it's bra sizes I have to get bigger dress sizes, if they're clips it's just not going to happen so I was really pleased with this find.

Then I found this floral number, again a moulded cup triangle style, but this one was actually in bra sizes which was amaaazing!! So bigger busted girls out there, have a look in New Look because I really didn't expect to be as successful as I was.

Quick Sarah Story here, a few weeks ago I picked up a Stylist Magazine, like I do every Tuesday on my way home from work. I was flicking through the what you need to buy type pages and found a towel. The towel was from Hammam Havlu, in the description they explained it's a towel as absorbent as a normal towel but thinner and it was like the sun shone through the clouds and the angels sang because it was just what I needed. We're only taking hand luggage on our 10 day trip so I need to keep everything as light as possible. I am so thrilled with this because I was so worried my beach towel would take up half my bloody case but this is perfect AND SO GORGEOUS! Literally the most photogenic towel I ever did see.

Pictured atop the beautiful towel is some pretty cool sunnies I think. A pair of my sunglasses recently broke so I had to replace them, I found this cool pair. I love the pale tortoiseshell with the gold bar along the top. They're from Topshop, I like Topshop sunglasses, they're trendy and pretty good quality and very inexpensive!

Also from Topshop I got this goooorgeous dress! It's a long midi, which I don't have many of but actually I think it's an incredibly flattering length. It's beautifully light and I think it's perfect for a day trip on holiday, dressed up for the evening as well as summer in London with a leather jacket. I'm obsessed with it.

As I mentioned, I'm loving lace and crochet at the moment. I am notorious for absolutely hating crop tops because they just never ever suit me and every top ever is always bloody cropped. BUT I have found one that suits me... this beautiful piece is so flattering, and it hits just the top of my high waisted jeans so it's perfect. I think it'll look great with all sorts -shorts, skirts, jeans, trousers. I looove it.

So that's it for my haul. I think i've got some great pieces that I can use on holiday but also for the not so warm summer of the UK and mix and match throughout my wardrobe.

I'm so looking forward to my holiday, I've got lots of travel related post ideas I'm planning so make sure you're following on Bloglovin and Twitter so you don't miss any posts.

Are you going away anywhere? I'd love to know where you're off to so leave me a comment!

    1. Yeah same! They had it in loads of colours too, i'll probably end up with a few. Glad you liked it, thanks Lauren

  3. I'm also off to Croatia this summer! I can't wait to do a bit of holiday shopping. I love the lightweight beach towel, I definitely need to find myself one of those because I hate carrying a huge one!

    1. Ah lovely! You must get one it's the best find ever!

  4. Those sandals are lovely - it's such a shame they are such killers for the feet. You could try wearing them around the house with socks on to encourage them to stretch out. Or I've also heard about being blasting the leather with a hair dryer to warm it up and then stretch it a bit..... Good luck!

    1. Thanks Rebecca! No I think of it I'm sure I've heard that tip before too, I'll have to try that!!
