Thank goodness Halloween has passed so I can now legitimately talk about Christmas without people getting arsey.
To me, the end of Summer marks the time to start thinking of Christmas, Autumn/Winter/Christmas are all one in my eyes..
#1 While everyone was getting excited about Halloween you were too busy getting excited about Christmas! Enough of this scary crap, nope - get me Christmas trees, gingerbread, glitter and Christmas jumpers any day. Halloween is simply a marker for days left to Christmas (55 days btw..)
#2 Starting your Christmas Shopping a bit too early. This year I started in September but there's many a savvy shopper that will start in the summer sales, if not the January sales (I'm too busy spending it on myself in January though tbh...). Black Friday, you're too late for me - I'll be long finished by the time you come around...
#3 Dreaming about the possible contents of the John Lewis Christmas Ad. No joke, *I think* this happened. In my mind, I had read somewhere that there would be a pony in this years Christmas Advert, but I don't know where I read that, or where would even reveal that! I've tried to search for the source since - nothing - so now I'm thinking I must have dreamt it... but it felt so real. You wait though, if there is a pony in this years John Lewis Christmas Advert, I can offically predict the future.. woooow!
#4 Dying to put up the Christmas tree or any decorations for that matter. In fact, I've got some pretty darn festive decorations, from Talking Tables for my Grown Up Games Night, up already and I bloody love it! Lights everywhere, golds and silvers, it's so cosy and gorgeous. I am absolutely dying to put my tree up though, I'm definitely going for a metallic/jewel colour scheme, carrying on with the golds, silvers, coppers with some metallicy reds and purples... not that I've thought about it. Normally I try to push til the 1st December but I have been known to put it up in November.. (once when I was a kid I put my stocking up in October)
#5 Going Crazy on Pinterest. I'm talking table decor plans, tree decoration plans, DIYS and crafts, cards, wrapping, snacks, gifts, EVERYTHING. I mean we'll probably never do any of it or make any of it but the thought was there.. Although saying that, I'm thinking I'm going to be making alot of gifts this year sooo.. *furiously pins*
Oooooh look at it..
#6 Watching Christmas films before an acceptable time. Hands up, confession time, who else watched a couple of Christmas films over summer? Anyone? Anyone at all? It's not just me, you're lying. I couldn't tell you which ones they were, they weren't classics or anything to remember.. there was one day that Channel 5, I think it was, just had them on all day (my kinda day) and another I came across on Netflix (you know how much I love a shit Netflix movie) and found myself watching it.
#7 Everything you do from this point on will somehow link back to Christmas. Shopping - for Christmas, Baking - Christmassy treats, Netflix - Christmas films, iTunes - Christmas playlist.
#8 And you're a sucker for anything Christmas themed. Red starbucks cups? YEP. Ice skating? TAKE MY MONEY. Novelty chocolate boxes/tins? Um, all of them.. Reindeer or Snowman shaped anything? It's all irresistible
#9 Chances are, you're the Christmas elf of your office. Sourcing the decorations, snacks and music everyone hates (but secretly loves) you for. "Oh Sarah please no, not another Christmas song, it's not even December yet" "SHUT UP I KNOW YOU ALL LOVE IT REALLY - I'mmm dreaming of a whiiiiite Christmaaaaaas"

If you read this and agree then chances are you're obsessed with Christmas too, if so YAY I've found my people! Now tell me, what are your favourite things about Christmas?
(How many times did I say Christmas in this post? Maybe like 30? haha. Say Christmas again. Christmas.)
