Today is my birthday! In case you hadn't guessed I am 24 years old... wow... This little old life is starting to go quickly, even this year so far I barely feel I've blinked and we're in May.

Lots has changed for me already this year and it's put life into perspective that I want to live, do whatever I bloody well please without anyone or anything stopping me. So I'm going to share with you 24 things I'd like to try and do over the next year.

1. Live more minimally
I'm really off having stuff for the sake of stuff... don't get me wrong, I love a new lipstick or a nice candle, a new top etc but I've had a massive clear out of things I'm just not using or do not need! I don't want to buy things I don't need anymore either, or buy make up because I want to, only if I 'need' it.

2. Start pottery classes
Ever since watching the Great Pottery Throw Down I am absolutely dying to try it for myself!! I really want to make some little plant pots, little cups and dishes.

3. Throw another Blogger Picnic in the Park
Last year's went so well, and we've had demand for another (Food & Baker and Smoke Bark, I see you) so keep your eyes peeled for another! This years will be in Bristol though for practicality reasons.

4. Let go of any negativity
I am by no means a negative person but sometimes it's difficult not to dwell on what could have been different 'if' there is no if... move on!

5. Save money to travel
I really want to get out and see more of the world

6. Make more effort with friends
Living in London was pretty lonely at times, I didn't see my friends as much as I'd have liked. Being back in Bristol I feel like the life is back in me and my friends near by is a big part of that!

7. Meet new people!
As much as a love my 'old' friends, making new ones is such fun too. Last year I met my little blog squad through the picnic and now barely a day goes by without us cracking up at god knows what over our whatsapp group chat.

8. Learn brush lettering and/or calligraphy
I mean.. I bujo so this goes with out saying that I'd need to try..

9. Get fit!
It's easy to make excuses not to exercise, I'm terrible for it but I'm pretty determined to...

10. Run a half marathon
Because why not!

11. Go to my first festival
I'm going to Glastonbury in June, eeeek. I'm a little nervous... mostly about rain, the toilets and crowds (why am I going..?) No I'm actually really excited! Going to get all that Gypsy Shrine glitter!!

12. Learn about flowers, flower arranging and floristry
This is something I've wanted to do for AGES, since I was at school really... this is the year!

13. Go on a city break
I'm thinking Budapest, Copenhagen, Marrakesh... not sure, any recommendations?

14. See more shows at the theatre
I'm particularly desperate to see the Book of Mormon and Avenue Q

15. Learn to code
(or at least maybe just understand it a bit..)

16. Thrive in my career
I want to do something that gets me all excited to get up in the morning. In fact, I just got offered the dream job and I'm pretty darn excited about it.

17. Visit 5 cities in the UK I've not been to before
There are some amazing places right on my doorstep that I've not made an effort to see. I'd really like to go to Edinburgh, Liverpool and York, where else should I go?

18. Read more!
When I find a book I enjoy I won't put it down, but for me finding one is the hardest part.. (recommendations welcome!)

19. Better my blog
I'm not ashamed to say I'm so proud of how far I've come with this little blog, I only want to carry on and continue to improve

20. Go on a weekend away with my blog squad
We've got a date in the diary, we just need to figure out where!

21. Be spontaneous
'hey it's a nice weekend let's go camping' 'let's fly to *insert cool place* tomorrow!' wishful thinking maybe but last minute plans are often the most fun

22. Climb a mountain
I've never done it (I don't think? When does a hill become a mountain..) so I'm going to tick it off this year too!

23. Make my own Gin
I think it would be so fun to make a flavoured gin, maybe elderflower or sloe?

24. Be happy!
Most of all, I want to be happy in all that I do!

Do you have anything you want to achieve before your next birthday?
