Room Tour ft. Rooi

Taaaa daaaa! New bedroom yay!
So if you hadn't noticed from my previous posts, or Instagram, or anywhere else, I've moved!! So of course the first thing I planned during the moving process was my bedroom and how I'd make it look super fancy.

My bedroom Pinterest board has been overflowing with ideas forever anyway but it got particularly furious just before moving, so when Rooi got in touch with me to have a nose on their site it could not have been better timing! They kindly let me choose something from their site, I decided (a tough decision - truly - there's an awful lot of gems on there) to go for some new bedding. New bedding is probably a) the most exciting thing and b) the thing that impacts the look of a room the most (except walls but I like plain white walls anyway)...

I wanted a space to feel proud of but to also feel cosy and at home in, I wanted it really very neutral with little pops of colour from soft furnishings. I love the pinks, greys and greens - such a millennial blogger cliche, I know - so I decided I wanted to make these the main elements in my room.

I went for the Belledorm Plain Pink Bedding Set, I just couldn't resist the pink! I love it against the white furniture and the pastel hints elsewhere in my room. I tend not to go for printed bedsheets as I get bored of them too quickly, so this was perfect. Plus, the Egyptian cotton makes it beautifully comfortable and luxurious - going to bed is just such a treat!

Since my room didn't have any built in storage, I opted for a bed that I could put storage boxes under and a clothes rail for my clothes. I absolutely love having my clothes on display like this, it makes me wear a lot more of what I have because I see it and I also keep it tidier because I can't just chuck them into a pile at the bottom of the wardrobe.

My dressing table, a vintage piece my parents found that's been sat in their garage for a while, is my absolute favourite! I keep my make up and skincare products in the top drawer, and all my hair bits in the bottom drawer, it's so perfect for keeping everything tidy, plus it slotted in perfectly like it was meant to be there.

I have two of these bedside tables but I didn't want to clutter my room too much by having both, I don't need both and I actually love the unsymmetrical look. This is another item I've adopted from my parents (it's actually older than me). I painted it to match my dressing table and aesthetic (it needs another coat actually) and added some blue ceramic handles which I love!

If you love yourself a bit of luxury homeware, you'll absolutely love Rooi! They have everything from beautiful Egyptian cotton bedding - like mine - to scented candles, dining ware and stationery! Great for gifts and nick nacks for home! I've currently got my eye on some reed diffusers to make my room smell as good as it looks.

I'm really happy with how my room is looking, I could just sit in there and read in the sunshine all day long!
